Has anyone actually gotten P. cinnabarina to germinate?
I have tried to germinate P. cinnabarina a few times, with no success so far. I have tried multiple types of smoke/fire treatment, as I would with any species that usually germinates after a brushfire. Protea come up fine for me, for instance. I notice that seeds are frequently for sale, but I have never seen an actual plant for sale. Being that P. aurantia and P. herbertiana are not all that difficult to root, (not easy, but not too hard), and I assume that they would root similarly, why is this plant never for sale? Perhaps the seeds don't germinate for anyone?
If is helps to mention it, I have successfully germinated both of the other Australian species listed above without difficulty.
Any thoughts from people who have actually germinated these would be wonderful. I have already read just about everything out there, so I want to hear it from someone who has the actual experience.
True thanks to anyone who can give me first hand information!!

I got one or two to germinate a while back, but I have gotten a few seedlots that have done nothing. I've found that freshest seed germinates best, so just try to make sure you are getting the freshest seed possible.
